This initiative was a component of capacity building for the institution, aiming to enhance inspectors&#8217; proficiency in conducting official controls within aquaculture production units, particularly in areas such as biosecurity measures, licensing, and monitoring of feed mill factories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conducted from October 23 to 27, 2023, the training was strategically designed to empower inspectors with the necessary skills for inspecting aquafeed manufacturing facilities, ensuring farm biosecurity, conducting sanitary and epidemiological surveillance, and implementing quarantine measures. The goal was to enable them to subsequently disseminate this knowledge by replicating the training at provincial or district levels, within the private sector as appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the one-week program, emphasis was placed on understanding the aquaculture value chain and addressing quality-related challenges that affect access to local, regional, and international markets. Key topics covered included an overview of national and international aquaculture practices, good manufacturing practices, hygiene protocols, traceability in aquaculture, aquatic animal health, biosecurity on fish farms, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) methodology verification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The training adopted a Blended Training Approach, incorporating both theoretical instruction and practical activities, alongside self-assessment quizzes to reinforce learning.
